Just gonna take care of a few housekeeping matters today:

First, I’m working on some really cool, new LGBT websites. I had an interesting set of ideas recently, so I decided to run with them. (Cuz you know I have a new idea, like, every two months, right?) Please keep looking out for that.

Next, of course, I’m still working on a new set of erotic stories featuring lesbians of color:

I’ve got the next chapters of Pledges and The Makeup Artist that are very, very close to being done, so look out for those on the Stephanie Rose Heat website (hopefully) at the beginning of next week.

Two more erotic short stories are coming after that (they’re about halfway done). Also, I’ve got a really cute Christmas story that I’m putting the finishing touches on. Plus, I’ve got my first novel ¼ of the way done, and I just started plotting the second.

Also, I’m working on an entirely new layout for the Stephanie Rose Heat website. Look for the newly designed website (where each story will now feature erotic pics and illustrations!!) by the end of the year.

Life’s pretty good right now.

I got an email yesterday about yet another anthology going forward that’s going to feature one of my lesbian erotic stories!

So now I’m 3 for 3.

Here’s the rundown:

My story, The Perfect Fit, will be in the book, Ultimate Lesbian Erotica 2009.

My story, Delicious, will be in the Food issue of The Porn Project.

My story, Traffic Stop, will be in the Sapphic Planet anthology. The title hasn’t yet been decided upon, but my favorite is “For the Love of Sappho: Tales of Forbidden Desire.”

I think all of that’s pretty cool.

And, as such, I have to give shouts out to two websites that also publish my stories.

First is Kuma Black Lesbian Erotica (www.kuma2.net). This is the website that started it all! They were one of the first to put my stories on their site and one of the first to give me that oh-so-necessary exposure. I started reading them back in 1998-99 and I’ve been with them ever since. I love them and I look forward to seeing more of them in the future! (Check out their new myspace page!)

Second, is Literotica (www.literotica.com). I’ve been reading them for about ten years too. They’ve been publishing my work too and have been giving me a lot of great exposure as well. Love them too!

Now.

I don’t say any of this to brag.

I say it for two reasons:

One: I definitely want to promote my own stuff. If you like my blog, then maybe you’ll like some of my other writing. And maybe you’ll support some of my other projects (including trying to turn these short stories into a straight-to-DVD romantic movie collection for, by and about black lesbians)

Two (and most importantly): I want to prove that dreams do come true. It was over ten years ago that I first wanted to write. But I never did (I never thought my voice was all that interesting.) But now? My work’s popping up all over the place and it’s the best feeling in the world! It’s a testament to hard work, determination, focus and a little bit of luck.

So…never give up!
